Step-by-Step Directions for Popsicle Stick Snowman

Follow these simple steps to turn your popsicle sticks and supplies into a cheerful snowman.

STEP 1: Assemble the base. First, line up four wide craft sticks side by side, then glue two mini popsicle sticks across the back to hold them together (see picture below). 

STEP 2: Paint the snowman. Paint one wide popsicle stick black for the hat, then paint the snowman base with black and white acrylic paint (see picture below). Let everything dry completely before moving to the next step.

STEP 3: Attach the hat. Glue the black-painted wide popsicle stick (the hat) to the top of the snowman base. Press gently to make sure it sticks securely before moving to the next step.

STEP 4: Decorate the hat. Glue a felt glitter star or holly leaves and berries to the hat. A template for the holly leaves is included in the supply list to make it easy to trace, cut, and attach.

STEP 5: Add the face. Glue on the wiggly eyes, then attach a carrot-shaped nose (template included) and a curved row of black buttons for a smile. If desired, attach a loop of string to the back to turn your snowman into a hanging ornament.
