Ah, coffee. Everything about it—the smell, the taste, the warmth of a steaming mug between my hands—relaxes me. But when the weather is hot, a Homemade Mocha Frappuccino is practically a necessity. If you suffer from a drive-thru coffee addiction, this post will save you money and help rid your body of artificial preservatives, colors, and flavors. Read on coffee lover! You can thank me later!

Homemade Mocha Frappuccinos
A sweet friend shared this delicious recipe with me. In the winter, I scoop 1 tbsp of Mocha Mix into a mug of steaming milk for an easy hot drink. When you make the mocha mix, be sure to use pure cocoa powder instead of hot chocolate mix!
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. instant coffee
- 1/2 c. cocoa powder
- Mix all of the ingredients together in a mason jar. Now you have Mocha Mix!
- Fill a 12 ounce cup with ice.
- Add 2 tbsp of Mocha Mix to the ice.
- Fill the cup the rest of the way with milk.
- Blend until smooth.
- Top off with whipped cream and chocolate sauce.
In the morning, when the alarm clock goes off or your kids wake you up, all you need to do is scoop, blend and go, go, go! Using something like a Nutri Ninja makes prep and cleanup fast and simple. (Note: The Frappuccino pictured was made with a Magic Bullet. I’ve since upgraded to the Nutri Ninja and highly recommend it! The Frappuccino’s blend incredibly smooth with no ice chunks!)
