How to Make a Clothespin Angel Ornament
STEP 1: Create the angel’s dress. If you want to paint the clothespin, do that before adding the ribbon. Once your paint is dry and you’ve gathered your supplies, use a hot glue gun to attach white ruffled ribbon trim to the wooden clothespin. Then, wrap the ribbon all the way up to the “neck” to form the angel’s dress.

STEP 2: Paint the angel’s face and hair. Invite your child to paint eyes, lips, and hair on their dolly peg using a paintbrush, toothpick, or the wooden end of a paintbrush. We used black paint for the eyes, red for the lips, and a mix of yellow, brown, and black for the hair.
STEP 3: Add the halo. Shape a small piece of silver pipe cleaner into a halo, then gently glue it to the top of the angel’s head with hot glue.
STEP 4: Make the bun. Glue a pony bead to the back of the angel’s head. This will look like a cute little bun!
STEP 5: Create the wings. Cut two 4-inch lengths each of white and silver ribbon. Fold the ribbons and secure the ends with a small dot of hot glue to form the angel’s wings. Then, glue the wings to the back of the ornament.
STEP 6: Add a hanging loop. Cut an 8-inch piece of silver elastic cord and tie it into a loop. Secure it to the back of the angel ornament with a drop of hot glue. Now your beautiful angel ornament is ready to be hung on the Christmas tree! It is such an adorable ornament and makes a great keepsake for loved ones.
