Craft Supplies Needed for Jar Lid Reindeer Ornament
With just a handful of materials, you can create a fun and festive ornament that kids will love making.
- Jar Lid Reindeer Ornament Printable
- Brown cardstock
- Scissors
- Tacky craft glue
- Brown peanut butter jar lid
- Wiggly eyes – 40 mm
- Large jingle bell (red)
- Ornament string
STEP 1: Prep the lid. After gathering your supplies and printing the PDF, use a cotton swab dipped in nail polish remover to gently remove the expiration date from the top of your jar lid. This step is optional, but it helps your reindeer ornament look extra polished!

STEP 2: Cut the printable. Print out the reindeer template and carefully cut out the pieces. These will be used to decorate your jar lid and bring your reindeer to life.

STEP 3: Attach the lid. Apply glue to the back of your jar lid and press it firmly onto the paper template. This will be the base for your reindeer’s face and make sure everything stays in place.

STEP 4: Add the ears. Apply a small amount of glue to each ear and attach them to the top sides of the jar lid. Hold them in place for a few seconds so they stick securely.

STEP 5: Add the face and hanger. Glue the googly eyes onto the jar lid, attach a jingle bell for the nose, and finally, secure the ornament string to the top so your reindeer is ready to hang.
