Uncle Sam Popsicle Stick Craft
This easy Uncle Sam craft is a fun patriotic project for kids made with simple supplies like craft sticks, paint, and cotton balls. It’s a great hands-on activity for Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, or any time you want a creative red, white, and blue craft.
Ingredients
- 7 wide popsicle sticks
- hot glue and hot glue gun
- acrylic paint
- paint brushes
- 13 white pom poms
- 1 yellow felt stars
- 2 googly eyes
- 1 small pink pom pom
Instructions
- Build the base. Lay 5 craft sticks side by side. Glue one craft stick diagonally across the back to hold them together. Let dry completely.
- Paint and add the hat. Flip the base over. Paint the top half with red and white stripes and the bottom half a skin tone. Paint one wide craft stick blue for the hat brim. Once dry, glue the blue stick across the center.
- Add the beard. Glue white pom poms around the lower face area to form a beard.
- Add the hat detail. Glue a yellow star onto the blue hat brim.
- Add the face. Glue on wiggle eyes, a pink pom pom nose, and 2 white pom poms for the mustache.
