Download and print the template. Download the free rainbow template and print one copy per child on white paper or cardstock.
Tear the rainbow colors.Have kids tear pieces of construction paper in all the colors of the rainbow. Tearing paper strengthens fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and finger muscles. Sort the torn pieces by color for easy use.
Cut out the rainbow.Use scissors to cut out the rainbow shape. Younger children may need help.
Glue the torn paper.Starting with red, glue the torn pieces onto the rainbow in order. Use as much paper as needed to cover each section.
Display and enjoy.Your rainbow craft is complete! Kids will love showing off their colorful creation and learning about colors while having fun.
