How to Make the Best Oatmeal Cookies

  • 3 Eggs beaten
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Raisins
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 cup White sugar
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter softened
  • 2 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Cloves
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 2 cups Old-fashioned rolled oats
  1. Prepare the raisins by soaking them in the vanilla and egg for 1 hour.

  2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  3. Cream the butter and sugars until soft and fluffy.

  4. Sift the flour, spices, baking soda, and baking powder into the creamed butter mixture.

  5. Stir in the raisin mixture and the rolled oats. Mix well. 

  6. Use a cookie scoop to transfer the dough onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet.

  7. Bake cookies at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Do not overcook. 

  8. Cool for 5–10 minutes on cookie sheet before transferring to a cooling rack. Store cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1-week.
